These are websites, books, movies and other things I recommend.

Nitrome

What it is: Website

More info: Nitrome is a games website. The games are 2-D action, adventure and platform games, like Dirk Valentine, Cheese Dreams, Hot Air, Skywire and Roly Poly.

Why I like it: Nitrome games are fun, addictive, challenging and imaginative. New games are made regularly. My favourite games are Dirk Valentine and Roly Poly.

How to find it: Just type in www.nitrome.com. Or if you’re really smart, click on the link.

Alex’s Site

What it is: Website (duh!)

More info: Alex’s site is a game reviewing site where you can look at reviews for loads of different consoles, written by various people (including me, so you know it’s gonna be good!). There are cheats and hints for games, there’s a page where you can ask Alex any gaming question, and there are competitions (you’ll only win them if you know Alex).

Why I like it: Alex has put loads of great reviews and gaming stuff on his site. He always updates it; his reviews are professional and long.

How to find it: If your IQ’s in double figures you’ll probably click on this link: www.alexsgamereviews.tk. If not, you probably have no idea what I’m talking about.

The Jiggy McCue Series

What it is: Book Series

More info: The series is about a near-teenage boy called Joseph McCue, who everyone calls Jiggy. He lives with his Mum and Dad and has two best friends called Pete and Angie. Jiggy’s always having terrible adventures, involving things like underpants, toilets, maggots, devils, and ironing.

Why I like it: The Jiggy McCue books are hilarious. The jokes are really funny and the mystery always makes you want to read further. My favourite story is Neville The Devil, where Jiggy (who complains a lot), Pete (who’s disgusting and selfish) and Angie (who’s tougher than the blokes) all go on the wrong holiday, thanks to an old enemy.

How to find it: Any bookshop with sense should sell the books. The author is Michael Lawrence, and are usually for 9-12 year olds. All the books are worth around £10. If you want a taster of any of the books, go to: www.wordybug.com, click ‘STUFF’ and then click ‘Jiggy McCue Books’.

MATCH Magazine

What it is: Magazine

More info: MATCH is a football magazine that has interviews, comics, quizzes, posters, matchfacts and other stuff. It’s about thirty-something pages long. It comes out every week.

Why I like it: There’s so much in every issue, and the news and interviews are always interesting. The comics are funny and the quizzes aren’t too easy. It’s the best mag for footie fans.

How to find it: MATCH is sold in all good newsagents. It’s £1.80 for a normal issue.

Dom’s Site

What it is: Website (Why do I have to write that?!)

More info: My friend Dominic Doering has made a site that looks a bit like mine. There’s a chat page, a videos page, a poems page, a monsters page and more.

Why I like it: A lot of the stuff on the site is out of Dom’s imagination. There’s a lot on there too. It’s so good even my teacher likes it!
